Exploring Philly, Migrating to NY

November 9th

Laura and Caroline worked in downtown Philly, and I decided to take a little 4-hour power walk to the Rodin Museum, Philadelphia Zoo, and Philadelphia Museum of Art.

We read about east coast gas rations in the news, so we filled up the tank before leaving for Long Island, NY. The station we went to was out of both Regular and Premium fuels, which left us with the more expensive “Power-V” fuel. Hopefully, this won’t be the case everywhere. We arrived safely at a friend’s house in Long Island, who recently regained power.

Takeaways:

  • Taking the long way or getting a bit lost can yield some lovely sights.
  • NY traffic is considerably better at night than during the day.

“Where did that blonde woman taking a picture of the gas pump sign come from? Oh it’s Caroline.”
